Imran Khan

And here I am sitting idly, in front of the laptop. My mind is going through a lot of different ideas and thoughts. I was just about to start reading a book, but then I stopped myself. I persuaded myself to sit and write something. And here I am.

Nowadays, I am reading a book written by a famous cricketer and now a very popular politician of Pakistan; Imran Khan. The book he wrote, is about his life, thoughts, inspirations and his future plans for Pakistan; I’d say is an absolute masterpiece. A lot of people still are in doubts. They still tend to believe that Khan will eventually change his ideology after getting into power. I wouldn’t say that it is people’s fault or they’re thinking wrong. The fact of the matter is, Pakistanis are fed up of everything. They’re scared. They don’t want to believe on anything, in fact, they are finding it hard to believe on Khan and his policies. They simply are in a complete state of shock. Everyone seems to be asking the other,”Is he for real?” “Can he really be able to deliver?” “Should we again trust on someone and again get ourselves stuck in our own country for the coming five years?”

Their fear is absolutely right. Pakistanis have been through hell. But the current situation is the worst of all times. The poor has nowhere to go. Nobody is there to listen to him. People are dying everyday because of hunger, poverty, and terrorist activities. Everything belongs to the elite class. The law and order, education, security, health services, in short every luxury of life has become a necessity for the elite; whereas every necessity of life has become a luxury for the poor.

This situation did not happen over night. It took almost 6 decades of hard work of corrupt politicians and leaders of Pakistan. The amount of money and bank balance has been created over the past 6 decades is unbelievable. But now the question is; What next’?

There are a couple of very important elements that Pakistanis needs to consider. Firstly, Imran Khan had it all! He had everything. Money, fame, glamour, lavish lifestyle etc. In short, he knows exactly what it feels like to be a celebrity and how to live like one. But right now, he has nothing. He has spent a major portion of his wealth for the welfare of Pakistan. Running world most renowned cancer hospital, Shaukat Khanum isn’t a piece of cake. So people have to understand the whole ball game.

Secondly, its the education. A graduate from Oxford University with a true sportsman spirit and proven track record; the probability of sweeping the elections is quiet high. The best thing he can possibly do, is to implement the educational emergency through out the whole country. Khan himself said this clearly that PTI (Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaaf) after getting in power will first demolish every single state house, governor house, president house in the country and build more universities, colleges and different vocational training institutes. He clearly mentions in another speech that the true asset of the country are the oversees Pakistanis and the youth.

At the moment the nation is fuelled with the fervour, zeal and enthusiasm for Khan. Everyone has their hopes high and really believes that this man can be able to change the whole system.
